I was a good friend of Joe Herzenberg, who served many years on the Town Council and helped establish our greenways system. Joe left the Friends of Chapel Hill Parks funds from his estate for green ways and benches. The Friends used these funds for trails and benches as Joe requested. I was proud to serve on the Board to work with a local artist to install a bench along Bolin Creek trail in his honor.
